Mrs. Bowman - Math I’ve been teaching a looooonnnnng time!
I received my undergrad in business/logistics from the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!) and my master’s degree in education from Milligan College. I just completed my Education Specialist degree at Union College with Mrs. Temm and Mrs. Loving. I worked for a Department of Energy contractor, Oak Ridge Institute of Science and Education, for five years and then began teaching after I got married.
My husband, Chip, and I have three daughters – Abbie (graduate school at Appalachian State), Hannah (senior at UT), and Molly (12th grader at Science Hill). I stay very busy with my family. During my free time, I like to workout and hike with my dogs. I also like to travel, read, be outdoors, watch HGTV (especially Fixer Upper), and SHOP.
Science is my favorite subject. Who doesn’t like to discover the “how” and “why” of everything around us?!?! I enjoy teaching math as well. Math is pretty cool because there isn’t just one way to solve a problem. There can be multiple solution paths that lead to the correct answer!
I look forward to getting to know you this year!
